Lobby IMF on the detrimental effects of economic recovery strategy; on the need for an open debate on including issues like debt cancellation etc; to enable regional autonomy (and democratic government at all) to have a chance; argue against the over-reliance on foreign investment and commercial exploitation of natural resources.

Monitor foreign investment and apply pressure to curb abuse of power, human rights and environment by foreign-financed projects.

Support efforts to promote democracy at local level.

Support strengthening of peoples movements at local and national level.

Support rural and indigenous people's demands for control over land and resources.
